So picked on names/reps for a fair part of the team

I thought Leeds fans had been critical of Senior this year.

There are some very deserving players in that team but some of the selections are clearly not based on form.

Riley, eastmond, t. biscoe/ bridge, chase and puletua should have been in there for me off the top of my head.

So Rangi Chase, with the most try assists in the league, doesn't make the team

and Wellens?

The pack is spot on imo, some may argue Monaghan should be in there but I think Roby deserves it.

There are a few contentious choices in the backs though. There is no way Senior deserves to be in there and I can't, for the life of me, figure out how anyone could think he has been one of the best two centres this year. God help England if he is the best we have.

I think Wellens is lucky to be in there, he's not had an outstanding season from what i have seen but seems to be in there due to lack of competition. Roberts was far better at the beginning of the season and Tomkins has been better at the end but apparently neither has played enough games there to take the fullback spot.

Richards, King, Hall and Tomkins all deserve to be in and a strong case can be made for Dobson but i think the likes of McGuire Eastmond and Chase must have been close to making the side.

What's Dobson done all year?
Or Senior, Hall and Wellens for that matter?

Yeah, OK, we don't have many FBs so Wellens can maybe be let off, but the rest is picked on past reputation IMO. Briscoe has had a far better season than Hall. And Senior isn't even the best centre at Leeds, let alone in SL.

i cannot believe rangi chase hasnt got in that side,if he had played for 1 of the top sides he would have been a cert,i take nothing away from sam tompkins he`s been class but he`s also spent time at full back and could have been put their in place of wellens who in the games ive seen hasnt set the world alight unlike the other two players above who have constantly torn teams apart for the majority of the year.

Well, the player who got in ahead of him did so with one less try assist and four more tries.
Not judging either player here as they are very different types of scrum half, but I think you could debate long and hard which one has been most effective.

I personally think Wellens has had a good season. Not as good as his 2006 form and disrupted by injury slightly, but pretty good never the less, finishing the season strongly.
I think the forward orientated nature of SL at the moment has tended to mean 3/4s don't get as many chances to star as they did 10 years ago, which can leave us scratching our heads looking for players who've performed up to "dream team" standard.
