| Just filled in the quins survey and this name came to me-
Works on all levels IMO - Would get the aussie and kiwi supporters interested, and fits not only with the aussie/kiwi connection but the connection of being exiled from the RL heartland and could gain a bit of 'against the rest of the world' spirit from the londoners.
What does every1 think?

| Broncos. Synonymous with the best days of Rugby League in london. The club doesn't need yet another rebrand. London Broncos.

| Any chance the rumour that Red Bull are interested in buying the club is true?

They've invested in a lot of other sports teams, especially over in Germany and in USA. Hope it's true.

Where did that rumour come from?
Googled it and the first reference is the Linkedin profile for a Red Bull brand manager who guess what? Used to be the Captain of Birmingham University RL team.

| London RL could have a big future if somebody that big gets involved with the game.

At which point in the Broncos existence was RL better off in London (sic) than it is currently ? Think carefully before you answer.

| Here are some facts regarding London RL since 2000:
The average gates at London Broncos for the 2 seasons 2000-2001 was 3,335
The Avergae gate at London RL (AKA Broncos) for the 4 seasons 2002-2005 was 3,704
The average gate at Harlequins RL for the seasons 2006-2010 was 3,686
What can we take from these 3 figures:
1. The name Change from London Broncos, London RL (aka Broncos) to Harlequins RL has made little or no difference to attendances.
2. The association with a Union Brand has not been detrimental in any way much to the annoyance of a few knuckledraggers such as rupe1 and stormingbronco.
3. Obviously, the supposed confusion between us and the Union lot hasn't caused any problems either.
4 Another name change will not make 1 jot of difference to attendances and therefore revenues at the club unless it comes with a massive cash injection for marketing. Given the track record at the club for failing to market itself, I don't see this happening.
I have a lot of time for David Hughes and his devotion to the growth of London RL, but as long as he is in sole charge of the club, marketing will not get the revenue it needs.
What Lonndon RL needs isn't another name change.....it needs SKY/The RFL to do what the NRL and News did with the Storm.
