Sorry if this has already been posted, but is any one else shocked by Mcgoldrick only getting a warning for his tackle. It was one of the worst i've seen for a long long time in RL. It makes me laugh when they RFL are giving suspensions out every week for pressure on arms or legs (which i think some are very harsh) yet it is deemed less dangerous to get your opponnent in a head lock and slam him head first into the ground. To me it should have been a 5 game ban at least. Shocking tackle.

Stupid, yes. I don't think the intent to injure was there. The way he let him get up and then pulled him down suggests he was merely trying to buy the time side to get back before effecting the tackle. It was just very badly done.

McGoldrick has been the dirtiest player in the Cas squad for a while. he is prob one of the worst in SL for his temper and dirty little hits he tries to get in.

He should have been banned, or even more sensible, you should get a coach who gets rid of the dead wood including him and starts getting in better and cleaner players.

Already is a new coach, probably be announced on Thursday.

He was described by a Quins player as someone who likes to play a contact sport but doesnt like the contact-A fellow Aussie I might add!

will that coach be, mr peter gentle or mr brian noble, or mr adrian lam, or mr ian millward, or mr john kear.

I'll never forget get that time he tried Eye gouging Mony Beatham a few years ago. Previous eye gouging attempts went unpunished by Silverwood that day, Instant vigilante type justice was meated out by Monty and Mcgoldricks eye gouging days where well and truly behind him! Ryans probably the most dirtiest I’ll disciplined player off recent years in SL.

Not forgetting that earlier in the season he stamped on Adrian Morley's hand after the PTB during the game at the Halliwell Jones. I doubt he'll do it again though after Morley ran after him and sent him stumbling before falling over...

Hes a cheap thug, a disgrace to the sport and nothing more.

He tried to break that guys neck using a wrestling move, deserves a ban IMHO. I only take solace in the fact hes cost his team the challenge cup final, so being a thug doesnt pay.

He's an idiot. He has some ability but constantly let's himself and his team down with needless penalties simply because he can't control himself. He lost Cas the semi-final and nearly lost them the game v Wakefield with 3 or 4 stupid, needless penalties.

Less tattoo parlours and hair dressers and a few more anger management classes.

He seemed to be channeling the great Jake 'The Snake' Roberts with that DDT tackle

I'm a Cas fan and agree totally with all the above.

Does a lot more harm than good and with the odd exception has not given back anywhere near what the club has invested in him. Be glad to see the back of him and hope whoever our new coach is feels the same.
