We've had a thread on 1st 17s. What do other teams look like when you get beyond that. I've had a go at Salford's, using every player in the squad and only bringing forward 3 to make up the numbers from the '1st squad' but in different positions to test whether there is cover for all positions
We wouldn't want to go into (m)any games with the 2nd 17 but, sadly, it's not a million miles off being as strong as some of our previous 1st 17s and would have to be one hell of injury crisis to get anywhere near it. There are lots of other variations depending on which players you bring from first to second, but is just a bit of fun
I think it's unrealistic, in fact impossible, to name 2 lots of 17 without naming people that nobody outside of that club has heard if.
Naming 2 lots of 13 is much more realistic and still shows the "next best" for each position without just naming a gang of kids that nobody knows. (See above examples)

17. -
I think Cas could do with one more prop forward because we our light in that position. but we have got cover in the likes of Cook, Moors, Mariano & Millington who can cover.

That's our 31 man squad and it's pretty close to 2 full 17s - a winger, hooker and prop short, and I'm sure we have the kids if needed/ cap space if injuries hit
It's pretty hard to name a second Hull 17 (as with any team really) without dipping into guys who don't have a squad number or playing people out of position. But the following would be a decent team.
Naughton
Logan
Whiting
Yeaman
Lancaster
Rankin
Harry Tyson Wilson
Bowden
Cunningham
Thompson
Turgut
Hadley
Abdull
Bobby Tyson Wilson
Fash
Downs
A. N. Other from the under 19s
It's a young team and lacks size in the pack, but there's some real talent there.
