I know there been a lot of doom and gloom this pre season, but the fixtures are now out and that same feeling I get every yeah has come back, I can't wait to get started now!!

Lets put the whole coaching/blue seats/Sale/the way the club is run saga behind us and get on with the important thing of supporting Salford RLFC. Yes we all seem to have very different views on here at times, but this pre season has proved that us fans care (Even though some say they don't). We all have one thing in common a passion for Salford so lets use that passion by supporting the team and PV no matter what our opinions are about anything else. I'm by no means saying don't express your views by all means do it (I have), but maybe not as publically as some people have been doing on here because all this negativity that's around at the moment is doing no one any good especially the club and for me to say that things must be bad.

To the people who aren't going to get season tickets this year take a long hard look at yourselves. The club needs us now more than ever, we need to make the move work otherwise that's it, no more Salford RLFC. If in 3 years time things still haven't improved on and field then at least we as FANS have done our bit. But not turning up and not getting season tickets is giving up before we've already started!!

Lets keep the Red flag flying high and move forward into Barton in the right frame of mind. RED ARMY!!!

Unfortunately, If we had 10,000 such blindly loyal individuals our Club would still be capable of signing useless players and employing failing Coaches.
There of plenty of examples in soccer of heavily supported clubs being mismanaged to the extent of abject failure, Leeds Utd, Nottingham Forest etc.

Even worse for Salford, in the Rugby League world we are not a Club of massive resources or even potential, therefore the handicap of an inept management team in place for ten years is more of a handicap that a club like ours can be expected to sustain.

Yes, I'm getting excited about the new season, but at the same time achieving anything above 'wooden spoon' status this year will be a bonus.

Can I just make a point that despite all the doom and gloom and turmoil with coaches and some so-called bad signings the club actually finished 2011 in it's highest league position for 5 years.

Further to this the club have improved their points tally every year since we returned to Superleague in 2009. OK we didn't make the play-offs and I'm sure we all want Salford to do a lot better but it could be worse. The club could be in a position now with no new stadium or SL license.

OK we are all hacked off with certain things but are we not feeding off each others frustrations and making things appear much worse than they actually are? Are we any worse going into next year as we have been for the previous 3?

There has been a lot of negativity but I've thought of a few potential positives:-

1. Perhaps with less expectation the players will not feel as much pressure and perform better.
2. Could having a coach the players respect give us that that bit extra?
3. Will starting pre season early bring it's rewards?
4. Could the new fitness guy improve the stamina and strength of the squad?
5. Will playing in a new stadium give the players more enthusiasm?
6. Could Sean Long help improve our attacking play and kicking game?
7. Will having only 1 player in the Four Nations mean we have a fresher squad than others?
8. Will the players that Parish wrote off have a big point to prove?
9. Will more away support travel to Barton, improving finances for 2013?
10. Potential to attract more sponsors to Barton than the Willows?

I think many could be just looking for the negatives and writing off the new season before it's even started.
