That is very concerning. Don't know if it was taken out of context so hesitate to pass final judgement. It would have been nice to hear something along the lines of .... "He has a bit of a niggle at the moment and until he can show me ..... Or something like
"He is training really hard and is doing some double sessions but because he missed our pre-season he is not yet quite up to the levels of fitness we require and until he can show me ........

It might be just because Price is under the cosh at the moment and just blarted out this short answer because he is fed up

Anyone got the lowdown on who recruited Latu?....... Was it Price?

I don`t think Latu will be bothered about playing for Warrington Reserves, when he has spent the last 2 years playing reserve grade rugby league, and will still be paid his salary.

I suspect that Latu is another one of these last minute signings where the player had no prior intention of coming to the UK but they have found themselves without a club in Australia. Probably turned up at Manchester airport in shorts carrying his surfboard.

The absolute definition of a panic signing.

No intention whatsoever to bring him over... Not even close to being on the radar.

Then our inability to sign a prop, coupled with the Gold Coast declaring their intent to ship him out = welcome to warrington.

We had been looking at him for 2-3 months prior to announcing his signing, so it's not a sudden out of nowhere signing. But he definately is just the best of what was available so not impressive, and yet again another "has potential" signing.
I was hyper excited when i thought we were about to sign Zane Tetevano, then he turned us down and Leilani popped up and my excitement disappeared.
He's been here for 6 weeks and can't show he's improved his fitness, that's shocking for someone who's job is to get fit. Leads me to believe either he just doesn't have a great engine and can't improve, OR it's his attitude and didn't really want to come and just isn't really bothered.

Do you really think the club spent 2-3 months looking at a player, who had played 9 times since 2017?

*edit - actually we probably did... thats half the problem.

No good slamming the present management & coaches for our current unimpressive signings , it has been a club trait for quite a few seasons & we seem to have turned into a dumping ground for the players other clubs don't want.
