Quote frankb="frankb"Thats why I,m a member and it follows therefore more members more money more money better players.
Fans can,t expect AT to do it all on his own. He is doing a marvellous job and all I can do is contribute my fiver in the hope that it helps.
I,d just like to add that the amount of work LISA,s chairperson and the committee do is nothing short of phenomenal.
With 10 times the membership LISA could do so much more.'"
Believe it or not that’s why I’m asking.
All I’m saying is should/has it been looked at in a different way, to me any increase in LISA membership will only come from current supporters, what the club and LISA needs now is new additional supporters. And could/should LISA help the club to achieve this?
To try and explain where I’m coming from lets say without increasing our fan base, we currently have 1000 individual supporters (excluding same family wife/spouse, kids, those who can’t afford it. etc), who could potentially become members, of those 500 are already members and the other 500 join that’s an extra £30,000/yr divide that by the number of league games that’s £3000 per match.
If a marketing person increased attendances by 1000 (I’d expect more), on a gate price of say an average of £10 that’s £10,000 per match, which should make up for the short fall in not having the current LISA money plus some.
I know it’s not quite as simple as that, and my numbers may be way out but to me more at LSV means more money for the club, possible increase in shirt sales, more potential LISA/Lottery members, etc.
So to me this is the area everyone with an interest in Leigh Centurions should be focusing on.
