I've seen the poker tournament being mentioned as a fund raiser for LISA. Is there any way LISA could organise a golf day at Pennington to raise funds? If it's successful an LISA golf society could be set up. I know Ste Ody and Dick Scratcher are golfers.

I need LISA permission and to see if anyone is interested in general. When to play and where, how many holes, prizes, how to make money. Any general ideas.

I wouldn't think you needed anybodies permission other than your own. Organise a golf day with the proceeds going to LISA.

I'll send the club an e-mail, but think it may be best if I waited until Monday for that. I'll get in touch with Pennington, see what kind of deal they can do us, tell them a lie that another golf club have given us half price green fees.



Also see if my mate from O'Neills can sort us out a prize or two.

I'm thinking if people have got some scorecards from Pennington or anywhere, keep hold of them and i'll sort out a handicap system when it comes round. We'll just have to trust that poeple are being honest.

Its a great idea, and one that should be lablled a LISA function as Jonny says above. The more events branded as LISA can only raise awareness of LISA and potentially increase membership numbers. We dont want a situation were fans are doing their own fund raising and giving direct to the club, do we?
