Well we do not have to agree with it so we Leythers have to make the RFL want us.

Every time you go out in Leigh or wherever wear your Leigh colours. Make your partner(better to beg maybe) if you have one do the same thing.

Anyone you know with kids tell them for a tenner they can get them a season ticket for peanuts and have two free hours every other week knowing their kids will be safe.

Tell older people how cheap RL is and if they are adults but younger tell em it will save them money and improve their health if they join us in the North Stand rather than spending matchtime in the pub or watching TV.

Another health benefit is for those with low blood pressure will be helping themselves and those with high blood pressure can get pills.

Lets have posters printed for home games and people like me can go to every shop and pub in Leigh and surrounding area to ask the proprietors to display them.

great post frank- whilst the rfl can be labelled a disgrace by some leythers what is a bigger disgrace that the town of leigh cant average 2500 fans

Couldnt agree with you more mate,we should easily average 2500,a club like ours,but when we perform like we did in the Dewsbury game we shoot ourselves in the foot,its very hard trying to convince borderline fans what good rugby Leigh play when they see results like that.

Ialso agree with with Frank to ,im a diehard id watch them no matter what league they play in ,or how good or bad they are.

Gets us further than telling folk "Whats the point the game is bent. " etc etc really get em packing in that.

Well said frank. The bellyaching has been done, and nowt will change by continuing it. I just wish this kind of message would filter out there, whereby all are welcome to enjoy the afternoon of rugby.

you can try and sell this club as much as you like,but its going nowhere if the people of leigh believe this league is just a prep school for SLE players and believe me thats how i feel after the last couple of days and i dont like it.

Your right j.c. and so is Frank. Maybe the Leigh carnival that gets a fair few people down could be a place for the club to show that it is or can be a massive part of the Leigh and district community. If all the die hards gathered for a walk around our area that would be an eye opener. 1500 fans shouting and singing in the streets with the flags and banners like the old community marches that were posted on here a bit ago would make locals sit up and listen. Bring back the communitry spirit that the tories quashed. Bring back that old mining and spinning mill comunity spirit. Whose nicked my glass of red wine?

if we had that kind of spunk in us this town we would'nt have been under wigans foot for the past 36 years...its never going to happen mate.
