That's the spirit (I'll ignore the wink )
Not exactly a must win game- but certainly within out capabilities if we play to our potential with the likes of Hock back. Think our forwards have stood up pretty well all season.

| I didn't go last night, but did listen in on Radio Merseyside. I was confused, because Ray French, bless him, kept referring to us as "Hull" in the first half.
Anyway, whilst obviously not being qualified to comment on last night's game, (did Ridyard play full back again? ) what is troubling me, is that if Wakefield score 12 or more, we will lose! Our last four scores have been 6; 10; 10 and 6. I know SL defences are good, but they are not that good, surely?

I've said it on other threads so I may as say it here - we have no strike 2nd rowers, workhorses yes, but no one to give the halves options. It's what got us through the 8s last year and is clearly missing at the moment- we are far too predictable at the moment and have been sussed offensively
I was there, and yes Riddy was at full back

| Maybe the coaching team need a kick up the backside. We lack ideas in attack.
Hetherington issued a warning to the Leeds team and look how their results turned around. Maybe DB needs to do the same.
It needs sorting well before the Middle 8s.

Part timer
Earlier in the season we were letting in no more than 3 try's per game , so essentially we were always in with a chance , as Cold has pointed out , we aren't getting through the line or getting an offload out wide ( although ' Tel ' was trying last night )
We are tired ATM , a couple of fresh bodies and a week off could get us back on the bike IMO , here's hoping

I also essentially agree with what you say Steve. My other major concern, in addition to what you and Col say, is that we don't seem capable of building sustained pressure on our opponents. ( as we seemed to do in the three wins - pressurise our opponents on the back of some awesome defence) We don't seem to be able to stay in their 20 metre area for any length of time - sending out wild passes, the same predictable kick, (which usually sees us end up on our own line) dropping the ball, etc. etc.
It sounded like that was happening again last night - if Ray French is to believed!

Well it's not often he makes sense - but he is bob a on there, too much panic rugby in the saints 20 - could take 3 sets to break teams down, we seem to flap after 3 tackles sometimes
