Totally all subjective speculation, I recall this being mooted a couple of months ago, this is RL whenever if ever has something that carries this importance to the game not been leaked prior to the official announcement, if it is going to happen it will already have been formulated and rubber stamped and will have nothing to do with Catalan and their tenuous predicament, having heard nothing at this stage I would say that there will be no changes if any till 2019.

Obviously, taking into consideration that the authorities will obviously as most Leigh Fans who clearly think that all the world is against the club get relegated then there is no reason to change things anyway.

A couple of months ago! Catalans where not in the predicament they now face. The RFL in the name of "expansion" will not let the Cats go down. Still plenty of rugby to play yet,but I feel the rubber stamp is being inked up.

I think they need to expand Super League to 14 or 15 teams. We have Hull KR, Toronto, London, Featherstone etc. who are all good enough for Super League.

I wouldn't mind having the following format:

Super League (14 teams)

Cas, Leeds, Hull FC, Salford, Wakefield, Saints, Wigan, Huddersfield, Wire, Catalans, Leigh, Widnes, Toronto, Hull KR

Championship (14 teams)

London, Halifax, Fev, Toulouse, Batley, Sheffield, Dewbury, Rochdale, Swinton, Oldham, Bradford, Whitehaven, Barrow, York,

League 1 (14 teams)

Doncaster, Newcastle, Keigthly, Workington, North Wales, Hunslet, London Skolars, Gloustershire, Oxford, Coventry, South Wales, Hemel, =#FF0000New USA Team, New Canadian Team

Yes, the 8's don't work.The RFL never envisaged the likes of Leeds,Warrington and Catalans falling into the middle 8 concept. They expected the same teams each year,without a Championship team being promoted.

Their concept has failed and in the name of expansion will be changed,regardless of what Draper says.

There is a hidden agenda,as clubs wouldn't be signing players up,until they knew what league they would in next season..No mention this season of players stating jobs are on the line.

Would Bryson Goodwin really sign for Leigh 'if' his contract could be torn up after the Q8's therefore leaving him without a Club ?

What about Warringtons recent NRL signing announcement ?

Does the RFL want Catalans in Championship ?
Does the RFL want K.R in Super League ?
Does the RFL want Bradford in Championship 1 ?

Too many factors not in the RFL's favour ATM & IMHO.
