Only if we are currently paying him more than £175,000 a year. It's not a free player it means that you can apply a salary of £100,000 to a club trained or £175,000 to a non club trained player. We could count Eorl's new contract as £100,000, for example, if it exceeds that amount. The wording is a bit vague as it says clubs can sign a player from 2016 so i don't know if that means a new signing, a new contract to an existing player or if you can actually just nominate a marquee player.
