Question for anyone who may know-

If I bought a ticket directly from Saints for one of the touchline stands can you walk around the concourse to the away end (so I could stand in there) or is it blocked off stand by stand?

The reason I ask is I've not got a season ticket for the first time in years this year and don't fancy my chances on general sale. I thought of have been able to buy an east stand ticket from Saints but there aren't any on their ticket site.

I bought mine yesterday. Ticket office said sales were pretty slow !

I went this afternoon and we have sold out of adult tickets.. I paid anyway and the lady said they would post them to me when they get a new batch from Saints.

I don't understand why they have sent such a small initital allocation. Why not just send tickets across for the whole stand and we can send back any we don't sell? I've got mine but know quite a few that want one that can't get one. Due to the small allocation it is only 1 per season ticket holder which is how it should be but if they'd sent them all you could have done 2 per season ticket holder.

It's blocked off with stewards normally so you won't be able to walk round. I think there'll be a few Wigan fans sitting in the South Stand anyway.

Seeing as the stand holds around 5000 and Wigan have more season ticket holders than that, how could Wigan justify selling 2 tickets per season ticket holder?

The same way they justify selling 4 per season ticket holder for Dewsbury with an even smaller allocation. I agree with your point and have argued it myself many times but time has proven that generally speaking everyone who wants a ticket gets one.

Because not all ST holders go to away games and quite a lot will go with non-ST holders such as NK.

And that stand doesn't hold anywhere near 5000

It's the only game I'll probably struggle with all year in terms of a ticket. I was thinking of getting a ST before the start of this year just to be able to get sorted for this game but I can't justify it really as I'm missing about 4 or 5 home games due to holidays, work etc.

I'll get a ticket somewhere in the ground anyway so I'm happy enough.

No but Saints away is unlike most other away games in terms of demand for tickets.



I'm not sure what is so amusing, it was a ballpark figure I estimated. It actually holds around 4000 so I think you could class that as "anywhere near."



The fact it holds less than my guess also adds weight to the argument of only allowing 1 ticket per season ticket holder.
