IMO Skrtl knew he was going to stand on De Gea, *possibly* extended his stride a little to make sure of it. Made absolutely no attempt to evade standing on a floored keeper when he could have done.
IMO Diego Costa was attempting to retrieve the ball quickly because Can was writhing around on the floor in an attempt to con a free kick. Costa stood on Can's leg accidentally.
I know this is highly convenient for a Chelsea fan, but I'd have sent Costa off for pulling Luiz's hair v PSG and Cahill should have got 6 games for kicking Harry Kane and stamping on his leg on New Years Day.
I've watched Diego Costa nearly every minute he's played. That boy doesn't do subtle. If he'd stamped Can there would have been absolutely no denying it. Just like there's no denying Gerrard and Cahill did it.
