As long as Cardiff city council have offered to do more in the line of promotion then this is a good move all round.

There's no better venue city for this event and the return to derby matches should really help swell the attendance.

Plus my son's now at Uni in Cardiff so it gives me a good excuse to go down there for the weekend.

I would love a return to Cardiff and i would also welcome a return to the derby format because i think this adds a bit more spice to the weekend.

With it being February, I’m guessing it will be the season opener, which would be a great idea and get SL starting with a bang rather than a whimper. It will be difficult arranging it around the six nations as I’m sure the WRU will be as difficult as possible in order to disrupt the start of the season, however, if marketed properly it could be fantastic.

Wales play England on the 4th February (Friday!!!), so that rules that weekend out. If the seasons starts as usual in early February, guess we are talking the weekend of 12/13th February. This would be a week later than this season.

It could be a problem for quiet a few people if its not in the half term of College and School as alot go for friday to monday. (Half Term Dates are 18th February - 28th February)
Eitherway, i think i'll work round that and still be there



However, would they start the season 2 weeks later, and finish 2 weeks later??? ... Possible.

Wonder how they would go about doing the world club game? They publicised that to death this year overshadowing any season openers (and gave Leeds a good excuse)

If it is in January or February, then unfortunately i'll have to say no. Christmas & New Year take alot of my cash and i can't nor would like to spend alot of money on a weekend away in winter.

Personally i'd like the RFL to state that Edinburgh will be given one last shot with the derby games and depending upon how it fares will determine it's whether it stays there or not

Have been to both Cardiff & Edinburgh and Cardiff is miles better in terms of location, stadium, places to eat & drink etc. I wouldn't go back to Edinburgh

As a city Edinburgh is far superior for a weekend away. Cardiff has obvious strengths, the stadium location but for an overall package i personally prefer Edinburgh

Be better if they just scrapped it and just have 26 games home & away

Glad its moved back to Cardiff, not happy its in February.
