Can anyone clarify if the ground is still a no smoking area as defined by the club, I believe the stand is (East) but what about other areas, just out of interest I know the previous regime designated it non smoking IIRC

Or does anyone have an email address for the club so I can clarify

No it's not, you can smoke at the back of the west terrace - it's never been non smoking as far as I'm aware.

people smoking in the middle of the crowd is beyond annoying

IIRC it was designated a no smoking ground but, there do seem to be a couple of smoking areas at the back of the flats and the back of the north stand.
Personally, i've no issue with people smoking in these areas but, I totally agree that smoking in the middle of the crowd is absolutely unreasonable and people shouldn't be doing this.

Yep, but it's not half as annoying as drunk people chanting and abusing or being humorous as they see it. Still let's pick on smokers, because we all suffer from smoking related violence (please spare me the passive smoking nonsense).

It used to be announced on the tannoy that it was a no smoking stadium, both before the game and and at half time. This started about 4 years ago. I particularly remember it because I am a reformed smoker with a rather fascist attitude to those who partake (sorry) and around the same time had issues with my teenage son smoking.

The announcements stopped after the club changed hands.

Yeah I may have commented on my dislike for drunken idiots if it hadn't been a thread about smoking in the ground. I hate the smell of fish but its hardly relevant to the thread
