| ....Man of The Match....Discuss anyone?
I won't single him out as the only one to blame as there were several shocking and brainless performances today; Tim Smith needs to go and have a think about some of his decisions, for one. And maybe some of the forwards might want to think about why Fox and Cockayne seem to need to take us forward all the time. But I'm afraid I have to say that Aiton's play is so unidimensional it's dismal. Apart from one surging run in the first 3 minutes, he barely took the ball forward at all. He simply follows the play and offloads from acting half and does zip all else for me. I think it is a big reason we look like we find it so hard to break the line. Obst used to have defences guessing all the time; they used to brick it whenever he got the ball as you didn't know what was coming. Aiton, I'm afraid, is just a stock player. at least from the majority of games I've seen him in. He does not impress me. I think sides have worked out it's all about Smith with us and he is never gonna get much ball in broken play with an acting half that never takes on or breaks the line.

| He's predicatble and he's not the only one, its easy to defend plays when you know whats coming.

| I think he is very good behind a quick PTB , but that never happened today.
On the downside his passes from dummy half were far too laboured today, meaning our kicking game was rubbish. The defenders were in smiths face before the ball had arrived!
I would have gone for Wilkes or anakin for MOM

| His defence is outstanding, but agree that he is quite one dimensional attack, I think if he had both he wouldn't be playing at wakey or even super league. Annakin MOM for me

agree, wilkes and annakin were stand out performers today. Aiton in my eyes is a good player but at the end of the day the majority of the team underperformed and every team has those days...

| Paul Aiton, super player but missing 'off the cuff' play around the play of the ball. Probably going to get shot down for this as an old topic but the team is missing Andy Ellis. Kyle Wood is a good player but Ellis gives more prolonged consistancy as a natural hooker. Wouldn't criticise Tim Smith too much today, he tried but players around him not running the lines for him. A bit like the start of last year.

| Amazing that Wilkes get the seal of approval from some all I saw apart from 1 run was 5 yards and down he went.As for Aiton outstanding in the tackle but could be better going forward.

| I thought Wilkes was poor in the first half but improved in the second. Charlie was MOM for me, he had a spark about him that the majority lacked.

| Is wood injured? if not i can't see what lee smith brings to the game from the bench.
Means Aiton spending much longer on the field and not being as fresh as when he is spelled.

Cockayne always has good games, Foxy did too.. I thought Wilkes' performances were satisfactory but today he had a good game.

| Thought Aiton had headless chicken mode on a few too many times today and capped an awful performance with his miss on Hernia. God knows how he got mom.
Is there a slower winger in Super League than Cockayne!
Tim Smith and his extraordinary 5hite passes, sums up today.
