Just been watching good morning sports fans on sky,Has anyone told them there is an rl world cup final today very poor.

They had no viewing rights to it so why would they advertise it for someone to think "oh i'll watch that, what channel is it on?" only for them to find out its on the beeb, and sky loses a viewer.

Can they not mention a sport without telling you witch tv channel its on then.

Have Sky got the rights to the Union WC? If not it will be interesting to compare and contrast. The cynic in me believes they will cover it in great depth.

It's a commercial reality I suppose that whilst they claim to 'never stop thinking about rugby league,' they actually do if it's a comp they haven't bought the rights to.

I can see how it seems a bit churlish but in a competitive environment, why would they promote a competitors product?

In thay case they need an apostrophe followed by an s tagged on the end of Sky prior to Sports News.

But they have a Sports NEWS channel that has completely ignored the RLWC13

Whether they've got the rights to the comp itself or not they should report sports news impartially and without agenda.

I don't disagree and I'm not defending their actions - I'm just not surprised.

Its a tournament that they have no coverage of so they are not in the slightest bit interested.
But its a Sports News channel so should report everything.

How long is left on the sky deal? Be very interesting if bt sports started showing a interest! From what I've seen of the union coverage and their weekly highlights show they have really gone to town with the indepth analysis and commentary team, sky should be looking over there shoulders as bt sport does seem to have money to burn at the moment.

MC at the last meeting mentioned that BT sports were interested in buying the rugby league rites and already getting the Champions League they must be worried about competition like BT.
