Round 5 until our first home game cats at home same with Leigh. Good thing as more home matches hopefully in front of crowds.

Looks like quite a few midweek fixtures looking at those dates abs Catalan away is 29/30th July which is a Thursday or Friday, that seems a bit strange

It will be ok if Catalans are based over here, although not as warm


Everything will need to be "liquid" if there is still covid affecting stuff.

With Leeds "stealing" home advantage, it's a tough few opening fixtures. Mind you if we could sneak an early win or two, it would be great !

There are no easy games in SL. Even Leigh will give us a run for our money. The opening 5 games will provide a stern test to see if we can compete for eighty minutes or crumble like soggy rich tea biscuits.

Correct there aint no easy games but saints leeds wigan and hull all away from home dont come much tougher

Even more reason the club and players really need to have an intense pre season. Looking at that start there’s no room for complacency. It’s the best time to play them for sure but we need to be throwing the kitchen sink at these opening rounds to pick up as many wins as possible.

It’s a clean slate and from what I hear of pre season the players are putting in the hard work. I’m sure it will pay off on the pitch.

I don't think it's a bad thing playing Leeds, Wigan Saints and Hull first 4. New players in new teams, combinations not quite there etc.. it's a chance to pick up a couple of wins before they're up to full speed. That's what my lad reckons anyway and I think he makes a valid point.

It's because it's a double-game weekend, with us playing Salford on the Sunday or Monday.

On the face of it, it would seem better to meet the so called top teams early on before they get into their stride and it does give us an easier run in.
