just sat thinking about this season and the fact agar is out of contract at the end of the season,id say if he is offered a new contract it would have to be sorted sooner rather then later,off season was very good, signings very good, players released very good,we have had many debates about him been coach and that some would rather have a bigger name coach,its very early on and there is a long way to go but what would peoples thoughts be if we finished in the playoffs and got to a final or even won one,would people be happy for him to get a new contract or would they still feel we need a bigger name in charge?this is just to see what peoples thoughts are, its not to get into a slagging match about rich,also to remind people ive said all along if he was proved not be upto the job then he should go,but i just have a sneaky feeling we are heading for big things with this team.

It is far too soon to be offering Rich Agar a new contract. If come August we are in the CC final and flying high in the league it would seem very harsh not to, but we need a very successful campaign on the pitch to do so.

I remain to be convinced that Agar is of the sufficient standard a club of our standing demands.

Didnt know he was OOC....personally if we won anything or not i would still go for a top class proven Aussie.....imagine what the potentiol will be then.

Early days yet...lets see how we go, he has started well but a long way to go yet imo to prove himself as a top drawer coach..and for the record I personally believe he could be but he has 15000 to convince

I reckon with his recruitment and some decent performances if we finish in the top 6 he'll get a new deal.

its a bit too early for me to be answering this question, as its all if's, but's and maybe's, ask again in a couple of months, at the minute (although i have to say, his signings has been great, and his off season cull, was needed) i would tend to say NO, as I think (i may be completely wrong) Moore has a bigger input with the team/game plan than Agar would ever admit, but, i hope to be proved wrong, and Agar becomes the top coach you want him to be, i for one will be glad to be wrong

Its a good question, a tricky one this Wolfie and I can see the club having a bit of a dilemma on their hands.
As you say they may need to start negotiating an extension prior to seeing how the season pans out in full.
I really arent sure but I suppose I would be happy with a decent play off spot, a decent run in the play offs and maybe a quarter/semi of the CC.
So I suppose if that happens for me give him a new contract !

They alone are not reasons to offer Agar a new contract.
