Am I the only person who thinks shoulder charges should be banned. They're a cowards tackle. I broke 4 ribs, punctured a lung and cracked my sternum from one of these, and having seen the one on Burgess tonight, hes a very very lucky boy if he walks away with a broken jaw.
I like big hits as much as the next man, but running a shoulder into someone isnt even attempting to make a tackle.

One of the most common injuries in Union is broken collarbone from sticking an arm out and making contact with your shoulder. Its a mans game, he will play it down. Fortunatly the oxygen is on quick enough these days.

It wasn't the shoulder that did that damage, it was a clash of heads. |

I have not seen this at all - but every time I see some-one go in with a shoulder charge in our game I make the comment - That is an offence in RU - I agree it should be, a tackle is not knocking some-body over. Let me know if I am wrong. |
