| I will ever understand the RFL, why put an international game on at this place and get a crowd of 5 thousand, what an embarrassment . They must of lost money on it .

| I would have probably gone if it wasn't on a Friday night. Takes me about an hour to get there from where I am and a bus change and I don't want to be doing that at ten at night at that place. Not exactly the most accessible or nicest part of the city and families wouldn't want to go on a Friday night. That was the main problem, when they put it on, not necessarily the stadium choice.
Although having said that if they had had it at our place they would surely have got at least 15,000, might have looked less full but would have been a much more respectable crowd. Again, that comes down to location.

| @TheGameCaller Hull Kingston Rovers should never hold an International after tonight. The games image & reputation undermined by such a meagre turnout.

| Should have played the game in Scotland, even getting say 2k 'new' fans up there would have been better in the long run than 5k in East Hull.
Absolutely barmy that they are choosing to stage games at hard to reach grounds like Craven Park and Workington, particularly on Friday nights

Absolutely no chance of 15,000 for Scotland v Australia at the KCOM. More like 7-8,000.
In 2006 there was an England v Samoa Federation Cup game at the KC (the England team being a GB reserve side) and the attendance was 5,698.

| I went last night, and to be honest it was a pretty miserable experience.
I thought there was going to be a sell out crowd judging by the amount of traffic. It was chaotic.
They just don't have the infrastructure to cope with it .
We got in ten minutes late and left ten minutes early. Had enough of kids just running round the North Stand all match, without a trace of stewarding.
Then had to dodge the kids on mopeds as we went back to the car.
The only atmosphere was Dobbins fans barracking Walker. Embarrassing.
May as well if played it in Scotland and spread the game more.

| The venue was fine . There was never going to be a big crowd for that game .
It had to be played at a smaller venue .

| Although a decent stadium, it's possible in the worst located stadium in the country, in an awful area, with absolutely nothing near by to eat and drink, hard to get too by public transport and poor parking.

| Poor choice. There is a lot wrong with the RFL that I CBA to go into but...
The Lightstream stadium on a Friday night?
That means many RL fans having to travel on the M62 on a Friday night. The sooner clubs realise what a mare that stretch of road is on a Friday the better.
Hull fans will NOT travel there in numbers for reasons that are entirely reasonable to Hull fans but not the RL family.
Yes the opposition was second rate, BUT the AUSTRALIANS are the best team in world rugby. Either code imho. They are playing in our country. Even without JT and others, they are the best of the best. We should have all their games in 20k plus stadiums. Deals should be on with all amateur clubs to get kids there to witness the best.
As a kid I saw all the test matches in 82 and our match and Rovers match. It was a joy to witness. We don't have tours anymore so we should encourage as many people as possible, especially kids to go and watch the best in action and live in the flesh. The Lightstream was never the stadium to do that. The KC is empty this week, yet not used. You just know the RFL will hold it against the City when games are dished out in the future.
I'd have had it played either on Saturday or Sunday at the KC / Headingley if in Yorkshire. Or Wigan if over the other side. If they were not viable then get it in Cumbria or Scotland and encourage some new fans. Or feed the desire of the Cumbrians.

| It's far from a decent stadium with restricted views but that is only part of the problem. Traffic and parking is horrendous. Thanks to work I didn't get onto Marfleet Lane bridge until about 7:20, then it was just a horrendous jam and a scramble to find a parking spot. Given this mess I was thinking of a 10,000 plus crowd and I ended up getting into the ground just as they kicked off.
So what wasn't on the pitch was a pretty grim experience, poor stadium, difficult to get to and the only "atmosphere" the dobbin faithful booing (and worse) Walker.
On the bright side even the RFL must realise now that this dump is unfit for top class rugby, especially night games.
