A 'huge' offer at this stage in his career is too good to turn down (if indeed true).
He's a trier, no doubt about that, gives his all, but if we are to make progress over the next couple of years there is no way we can afford to have the likes of Lane on four year deals on inflated wages
He should be a back-up squad player at best.
If the 'huge' deal really is true, then not sure where Cas are going with signings of this nature, unless McGuire can see something hidden deeply that no one else has so far
