Looking at how close the table is after our defeat to Widnes, this is a huge game. Need to win to give ourselves a chance of remaining in the top 4 and try and cement a top 6 finish.

Big game this,Weve only beaten Batley away out of the top 6 and losing twice to Widnes and to Leigh,Are we just a flat track bully,beat the lower teams,struggle against the really good ones,Thursday might tell us somthing either way.

I agree ESO - it's a very big game.

We haven't played that well on TV recently despite beating York it wasn't a great performance but superstition shouldn't come into it.

So my prediction based on a semi scientific approach:
Barrow looked a fair side recently vs Featherstone but did make one or 2 errors.
Because we are now playing most of the games at the Lane I don't think that DVS gives us much of a home advantage except that we don't have a 4 hour coach journey whereas Barrer do. But they have had a longer recovery time since their last game. The weather looks OK - by that I mean a drop from the 30C we are having at the moment so less sapping for the forwards.

I'm going for 22 - 16 win.

Has the ref been allocated yet? If not what are the chances of a South Yorkshire person!

Barrow have yet to play at Bramall Lane but make their 10th visit to Don valley and this is their 3rd consecutive SKY appearance here at DVS. TV appearances have a win apiece.

Barrow have appeared on TV at least 4 times this season and not won one yet !!

It depends what time they set off as to travel time, but leave at sensible time on a bus 3hrs, 2hr 15 min in a car for me

Bookies have got us at 1/2, with a 6 point start on the handicap. I won't be touching either of those, crap odds for such a hard game.

If we won at Widnes a lot of pressure would of been taken off this game but with the amount of tough games we have coming up for the rest of the season this is a must win game if we want to be within the top 6 come the end of the seson...

Anyway.. I think like Widnes it might be a tough game but with home advantage (if that counts at Don Valley..) and hopefully Aston firing up the troops we could win this one but it will be very close.

Coridng is injured,Wood gone back to Shudders,Crookes wont be playing,On Eagles TV it mentions a 17 year old maybe making his debut,Connor ?,Any good Griif or anybody who watches academy,I think we'll struggle tonight and may lose this one.

Cording was thoroughly ineffective in the centres against Widnes, Wood is a loss as it's always handy to have an extra half on the bench, we haven't had Crookes for quite a while. Hopefully the young lad goes well.

Didn't know about all the dual regs, think it will be tough to get a win tonight.

It was great having these dual-regs at the start of the season but as the seasons goes on and SL club pick up injuries etc it's becoming a pain. We have a different starting lineup each week which isn't good at all.

I harp on about it but we have two or three of our homegrown talent in the squad each week. Players like Battye & Hanson have stood up and I think more first team games would help them improve, also, when it comes to licensing it would be good to say how we've got a number of players whose come through the ranks..
