Current LIVE TV Match : St.Helens 2 - 0 Wigan Warriors LIVE ON SKY SPORTS Half Time

Oldham had their eyes set on second spot as they travelled to Doncaster to take on the side sat in seventh place, who themselves needed a win to keep in touch with the sides above them.

These two sides did battle last weekend in the second round of the 1895 Cup with Doncaster progressing to the quarter finals thanks to a 24-12 victory, Oldham were now keen on revenge and the two crucial league points.

It was a quick start for Doncaster when Hedges collected a chip over the top from Matty Beharrell to ground under the sticks. Beharrell added the conversion for a 6-0 lead.

A sensational length of the field run and try from Watson Boas, taking the pass on his own ten metre line and sprinting downfield chased by half a dozen Oldham players. The half back was tackled just before the line but slid over to score the second Doncaster try. Beharrell added the conversion for 12-0 after twenty minutes.

Beharrell added a penalty goal on twenty-four to extend the lead, despite having position and possession Oldham were being dominated by the home side.

As the rain turned torrential Beharrell kicked another penalty for a 16-0 lead which Doncaster maintained until the interval.

Six minutes into the second half and the Doncaster dominance continued as Hedges stepped off both feet and went twenty metres to score by the right upright. Beharrell added the goal for a 22-0 lead, Oldham had no answer.

Jack Brown was sin-binned for a lifting offence on fifty-five, opening the door for Oldham but they were unable to capitalise as the Doncaster defence redoubled their efforts.

A bad tempered confrontation on sixty-five saw Jez Litten sin-binned for Doncaster and joined by Gareth Owen and Richie Hawkyard from Oldham.

Sam Doherty found the space to go down the right touchline, off a Cameron Scott pass, for Doncaster further extended the lead. A superb passing move on seventy three saw five Doncaster attackers tear apart one Oldham defender for Jordan Howden to score. Beharrell again missed the extras, Doncaster 30-0 ahead.

After the final hooter, Beharrell kicked a drop goal to seal the 31-0 victory.

A very workmanlike effort from Doncaster against their higher placed opponents who were never in the game and who offered very little in attack. Doncaster are up to sixth in the table, Oldham losing the chance to go second.
