Jeez.... It was this idiot v Leigh who gave one of the most incompetent refereeing displays I've seen in a long time!! Now that's going some with the level of referee we currently see week in, week out!

Lets see what happens Sunday. After the display I saw at Leigh, I was dissapointed to read that he was reffing for Sunday. According to the RFL he is a top ref so it could be that he just had an off game.

The positive is that it is on TV and every decision he makes will be scrutinised by a much bigger audience.

Never mind the ref....has anyone spotted who the timekeeper is!!!!!?????

He's been into that steady little number for a couple of seasons now mate. Last time I had a chat with him was the Hudds v Cas kit debacle at the Shay last season and he'd already started doing it. Apparently, SL fixtures have to have an RFL official keep time rather than one rep from each club. I wouldn't have thought there was too much you could get wrong, am sure Grif1998 will correct me but imagine my thought process:


If Mr Morriss couldn't see things that happened right in front of his eyes while he was a lot younger & his eyes in better condition than they're bound to be nowadays, how the hell is he going to see a referee indicate to the T/K sat 100mts or so away up in the stands ?

He was a great character to have reffing you was our Col, always enjoyed his company when he had us and you couldn't half have the craic with him as well.

As this is not a Souper League Fixture why have a RFL Official as Time Keeper ?
