Sorry if this has already been discussed...
Was at Carnegie v Bedford yesterday and it was nice to see the whole SouthStand open again (albeit rather needlessly for the 2,400 crowd), corners and all.
Can't wait to see it full on friday night again - it just wasn't the same last season with the closed sections so hopefully this will boost the atmosphere again.

Great news mate!!
The old girl is fantastic when full, yes it has it's fair share of idiots etc but it's not the same without the StandStand if you ask me.

but you didn't really believe him did you ?he was speaking as the club had just got planning permission after it was touch and go,then they had to look for funding ,and its obvious they didn't get the funding on the terms they wanted,so it was posteponed and they did they safety work on the stand.All politics thats all |

Was up at Headingley today and the South Stand is looking more retro than ever. The new Tetleys sponsorship boards adorn the the full length of the roof. The original huntsman badge and "Tetleys" in red on a cream background, proper retro looking and adding more character to the old girl. Massive yellow and blue Leeds Building Society boards running the length of the North Stand roof as well. Can't wait for Friday, you can have your KC Stadium, Langtree park, etc,etc, you cannot beat tradition,history and a real crackling old time atmosphere, none of the new grounds have it.
