The clock at Craven Park stopped today and was stuck with 1 min 34 left to play due to an electric fault. I reckon over 2 minutes of play went by when Saints won a penalty, On winning the penalty the hooter went. Saints then kicked the penalty to level the game.

The RFL timekeeper has just being on Humberside radio and has said that when they noticed the clock had stopped they put a stop watch on which he says took 2 seconds. Now I'm interested to know when they noticed the clock wasn't working as I'm sure the RFL officials are watching the refs actions to stop and start the clock not looking at whether the on field clock is working.

Time's stood still in Hull for the last 50 years

I was at Headingley watching Rovers a few weeks ago. You honestly can't have the nerve to say anything bad about Hull. The place leading up to the ground was like being back in baghdad, A proper hole.

Makes a change from the lights going off.

I am intrigued about this Victorian architecture in Baghdad. Thats an interesting observation.

Not Saints' fault I don't suppose, something the RFL need to answer. Not sure how Radio Slumberside knew about the 'official' time being over when they don't 'do' the official time.

I think anyway, all Super League games should finish with 'next score is the winner'. Adds meaning to the end of big scorelines and gives the little clubs something to play for.

That's happened for ages.
