Noticed that a handful of Salford fans claiming to be in the know have been posting stuff on Twitter about "devastating" news for Salford, the club's imminent demise, one more year before we go tits up yadda yadda yadda... If any of you are on here, any chance of you making further comment about the subject, rather than making veiled comments? Does anyone else know what on Earth is allegedly going on? Or are we just looking at the latest in the line of baseless "oh f**k, the club's doomed" type nonsense?

Have searched under Salford City Reds and can't find anything. What are the user names?

What nonsense,Mr Salford has led us to Barton to be the biggest club in RL,OUR OWN GROUND,OUR OWN HOTEL,OUR OWN TRAINING FACILITIES,ARE YOU MAD? In fairness the people who have posted it on twitter are what you would class as more of our clued up types rather than the people who post some of the nonsense we often see on here. Without knowing the full ins and outs I think it is to do with Peel Holdings and the (lack of) investement they seem willing to put in.

I'm just attempting to ascertain a few facts around the situation. When I talk about nonsense, I'm talking about things like the Cavendish Street posts that turned out to be a bit silly, really. I agree there's a lot of problems and we are nowhere near where we should be. Just would like the rumours to be a little less shadowed, nothing more.

The most recent thing I've seen ties in at least partially with what Karlos13 has posted above, Peel apparently "taking over" but won't put any cash in, looking to sell within the year or they'll wind the club up. The best thing now would be if the club/Peel/anyone actually came out and made a bloody statement.

Who knows really,i for one will blame Wilkinson,he`s the one who took us to the most biggest white elephant ever built,Mr Salford is the problem,if not him then next his daughter,god help us.And yet,you get ..oles thinking these guys are great,i just despair
