We have recently gained a small but persistent number of trolls on our site who support other clubs, but come on here to cause a reaction and add nothing to our discussions.

I come on here to discuss the Wire and related RL news not to read banal, pre pubescent rantings that are designed to add nothing to a post.

Could the Mods please take action against these posters so we can get back to reading and posting about the Wire.

100% agree with this, can we start with that Lebron he wouldn't know a conversation if it slapped him the face.

Lebron's "technique" is to make a facile comment and then disappear, not sure he warrants the term "troll" as its so half hearted!

Simple solution is to just ignore any posts from him or other such idiots. If there is no response to their posts they will soon get fed up.

Completely agree, I have been banned from the Wigan forum for a couple of years just for disagreeing with someone. Yet they have a number of trolls who love to come on here and derail threads for their own amusement . This is not a dig at our mods, these trolls have just crept up a bit more since the end of last season.

My 'vote' would definitely go with the non banning option at present and monitor the situation for anything really inflammatory. I agree with Wrath hit the ignore button and I do think that this forum shouldn't get a reputation as a 'banning board' maybe a warning shot to persistent visiting idiots?

The two 'kings' for example are irritatingly harmless IMO and the best way to react is not to react unless you feel compelled to have a go back, as they may just get fed up without a reaction and pipe down, we certainly shouldn't assist their derailment.

KingRoss isn't a troll, the poor love is only young and is horrified at the thought that his favourite player will go to a competitor. Had there been an internet back then I would've probably reacted the same about John Bevan, it's how 11 year olds behave. The fact that he doesn't quite understand what's going on allows for some gentle joshing. I think it's cute!
LeBron is just a t*t and every post underlines it, respond/ignore just don't take it seriously.

I often wonder what the trolls are like in real life and what motivates them to come on to a rival forum and make asinine remarks. I bet they are quite low impact individuals, lifes' unfortunates. I suspect if you have the prefix "King" before your name you may be struggling with low self esteem.

i think low self esteem is probably the least of the 'kings' problems.
