| Pricey....moaning about Wire being roughed up.
We've touched on it on another thread.....it deserves it's own topic.
Catalans roughed us up and Pricey didn't like it. He should put up and shut up. We ought to mix it.
In the GF the team that wins might bully us...no use complaining after the fact...you can't change tomorrows news.

| Just out of curiosity, who is the nominated enforcer in the St Helens pack, a pack that has led it's team to the top of the table?
LMS? erm no, the bloke had a pony tail not that long ago
Roby? Top player, big on skill short on stature
Amor? Leo Sayer haircut
Their pack is no tougher than ours but they don't get outmuscled too often. Our issue is that in BMM and Akuola we have two impact players who have yet to make much impact.
We also still look weak when we rotate our props. So given the choice of two Paul Woods or an enforcer, I'd take the former.

| In the same way we persuaded Henderson to give up a lower division head coaching job to join our staff could we bring Paul Rowley in as specialist "shethouse tactics" coach.
We could have had Catalans too busy coping with all of our little tricks to try their throwing the ball at a player trying to escape the ruck scams and the like.
It would keep the duck happy and also stop lefty's complaints that we're "too nice".
Or how about try and get hold of that Aussie guy who captained Bradford back in the early days of SL, was it Graeme Bradley? I seem to remember him being good at rustling a few jimmies.

| To some teams, playing the ref & bending the rules a more likely to get a win than trying to play good open rugby.

| Ive not heard the interview with Pricey, i hope he is suggesting that the ref let Cat's get away with foul play and not that they were just to rough, if it is the latter i will be astonished that anyone connected with our game would complain that a team were just to rough . However, nothing would surprise me the way our game is going, i'm sure i saw the ref telling a Cat's player to get to his feet after throwing himself to the ground looking for a penalty ( i may be wrong was at the west end).

This is it...
The first 10mins of a game id have my team testing the ref to see what we can get away with.
Lying on longer and slow retreat of 10, plus wrestling tactics and getting your arms all over the ball and in his face.
If you get no margin of him, behave....but if you get away with it, you keep it up and frustrate the player into retaliation and win a penalty.
No complaints from any team that does spoiling tactics and gets away with it.

Paul'"
There is an article & interview video on the Warrington Guardian webpage. Price seems confused by some of Mr Thaler's decisions ,as were most of the people on the terraces. The touch judges were completely useless too.

| My issue is Pricey complaints isn't going to change the weather.
Spoiling tactics aren't great... but they can almost win you a game like on Thursday.

| I like to see it.
There’s too much mard arße stuff creeping into this sport so when you see that teams can still fairly rough another team up, I’m all for it.
We weren’t “cannonball”ed and heads weren’t targeted too hard, we were just roughed up by tougher lads (on the night).
The more this sport gets back to that the better instead of all this diving and feigning injury and faux-hard man posturing, the better... just don’t take it too far!

I agree. However, the recent trend seems to involve players acting the hard man one minute and acting the goat the next
