Move ratch to centre keep Ashton full back widdop in the halves. Hope we sack this new centre if the rumours are true.

Agree with Ratchford at centre and Ashton at the back based on form.

Wasn’t convinced Gelling would be consistent enough for us anyway, irrespective of what he’s allegedly done. Of which I have no knowledge.

This forum is mad. all we ever bang on about is not playing players in their positions and not promoting from within. We post time and time again about how Ratch is a pivot who NEEDS his hands on the ball if we want to make things happen they we suggest he fills in at centre?



We signed a ready made Centre in the off season, Keenan Brand. Gelling out, Brand in.

On the plus side - not a problem with the squad we have. Only problem is fitting everyone in but with injuries and a bit of rest/rotation still looks good

For that to happen Ashton would need to be dropped

Nothing to add in respect to the Gelling rumour (no inside knowledge and I certainly don't believe all that is written on social media) but, if we were to lose a centre due to injury or other circumstances, we have a number of options.

Brand - direct replacement
Charnley to centre, Ashton to wing (I'm not convinced that Charnley is a centre)
With Widdop fit, move Rachford to centre
Burrell to centre (or Hughes when fit)

We're not short of options this season
