Crikey! He wasn't a bad centre though. We also had Paddy Tuimavave and Shane Horo that year who I believe played for Auckland.

Horo was really good but he never went onto bigger success as far as I'm aware. He was a top winger though and scored a number of tries while he was here.

Not sure. I think Horo played the season that Mike Ford was at Leigh and he only started playing once he'd had a transfer request accepted

Horo & Tuimavava played IIRC in the 87/88 season - The latter having signed from Swinton.

Horo was a class act and again IIRC a NZ international by the time he signed. He never played for W*gan

I also remember Robert Moimoi making his debut in the 1988/89 season as 'AN Other' up at Carlisle. Leigh had just been relegated from the top flight at the time. He returned for one further season when Leigh won promotion at the first attempt for the following 1989/90 season.

Might be right there. Was a class act while we had him. I remember him tip toeing his way down the touchline to score in the corner in one game. I'm sure it was against Hull KR.
