Yesterday the Club announced the new date for the Keighley game, but last night during the presentation of the M of M in the banqueting suite it was anoounced that the new date was a non starter and in the words of Trev Barton it is "back to the drawing board - a new date is again being sought"

Keighley were unable to get the approval of York, to bring forward their scheduled home game on 15th July.

The major stumbling block is the scheduled maintenance work on the LSV pitch.

Perhaps we could switch this to Swinton....

Why can't we reverse the away game at Keighley for the home one ? Surely this must be possible. Isn't it the 12th August away

That's an interesting one. At least it would free up the time we can't play, because of pitch maintenance, to give a few more possible dates to play with.

Some time midweek, in late July or early August. Don't forget, those dates have currently been a no-no, because of our pitch.

How about 2 days before you play us in the semi

Can't see Keighley agreeing with that as they'd lose a weekend home game and have to play midweek with the associated drop in income.

Can't see why they have to around with the pitch every July, it's like a bloody bowling green.
