I'm sorry that he's gone, but do you seriously believe that? His personal problem is that the Broncos are in the bottom 4 and will finish closer to the bottom than the top the rate they are going. It looks though, at last, the owner is actually doing something other than throw good money after back.

London fan here and I'm sorry to hear that a fan of a family club like yours would think that Joey or the club would use personal problems as an excuse to get rid of him, then you're talking out of your hat. Joey would never use his family in that way to get out of the job.
What ever the problem is if you read the statement you will see the club having been trying to get him to stay for the last month.

So it's nothing to do with the position the club finds it in. With that we have a new squad who just need to jell.
Joey has always said he is a family man and a Christian first, and has tried to build that back into our club by bringing in family men to bring in a culture of a family feel to the club like we had in the past which we lost over the last few years, and one you seem to have built in your club with your coach.

So if he said it's personal and family reasons then that's what it is. And I'm sorry you feel otherwise, but this time you are wrong.

On a side bar to this I see from some quotes that you think the RFL will know throw money at us, then you are so barking up the wrong tree with that. We don't receive any more money then the rest of you from them. Before you moan or point some quotes from elsewhere. Then yes last year we got help but only in the marketing area which went to the football club we share with to aid them market the club to this new area. But we DON'T get anything extra now ok. I just wish people would get over this issue that the RFL give us extra cash, it's just not true ok

How long have you been holding back these two gems,both of which have no relevance at all to this topic.

Most Leigh fans are very understanding and sympathetic to any sacking,leaving under a joint agreement etc. and will wish the party involved only good things as I'm sure is the case here.

I appreciate that there is a lot of coded language in RL, football etc.. when a coach is dismissed but in this case I think the official line is the truth.

I'm not casting aspersions on Joe or London Broncos, nor do I speak for Leigh Centurions! The press release may be entirely factual or it may be (understandably) putting a certain perspective out there. Whatever, I wish him all the best!

On the other hand, I've not much time for London to be honest - entering into a dual reg agreement with a SL club says it all - they are now firmly a Championship club with little in the way of self-respect. Been there done that and we realized it was far better to stand on our own two feet.
