Here are my predictions for the championship play-offs:

I've been a little more conservative on Leigh scores than I would in league games because of the extra pressure that comes with knock-out rugby and winning promotion being our ultimate goal, though I still think both our games will ultimately be comfortable wins. We're too good on both sides of the ball, and I think we'd have to be a long way below par and our opponents practically perfect to lose either of our games.

I think Halifax have a shot at Featherstone, but I think Fev will just about win.

Barrow to beat Batley and Halifax to beat York.

With you on those picks, but BvB could be close and after tonight's result, regardless of how much schadenfreude we derived from it, we (and hopefully IMG) all know what a crud, SkY imposed system we have to endure.

Let's see what Salford can do without Croft tomorrow. Bongser still thinks that it will again be one of the only four club names to (dis)grace the trophy this year. Maybe just as well, as the engraver has forgotten how to spell the others!

Although Saints looked pretty clueless against the boys from Pieland the other week I think that Croft is a huge loss for Salford. Key player, key loss. Saints to win.

Batley quite a big physical side which could make the dfference at Barrow. They have been able to match it with Fev this year. Halifax will be too good for York. Then hope that Fev and Fax goes to golden point after a bruising encounter. If we produce two good performances i can't see any team stopping us. Been a Leigh fan for many years so i know anything is possible.

Looks like we'll be playing Batley in our play-off semi (unless York pull off a shock at Fax - mind you most of us foresaw a Barrow win today). Still the first scores being just before HT suggests a bruising battle before facing a rested Leigh (or Fev - for completeness).

Bongser will be a Fax fan for a couple of hours this evening, hoping for a ding-dong, biff-baff do at PO Rd next weekend.

I called a Batley win, just thought the play-offs would be a step too far for Barrow. Great season from the Cumbrians after promotion.

Agree, hoping for an energy sapping slug fest with Fev v Halifax next week.

I was for a Barrow win but listening to the radio commentary Batley were just too strong, particularly in the forwards where Barrow were missing a few players.

So much for my prediction but happy to be proved wrong. Congratulations to Batley.

I agree with Mick TL's comments above re Barrow. They have had a tremendous season and it looks from their recently announced signings,re-signings and rumoured signings that they will be a force in this division again. next season.

Roll on Batley who look like they will be making a return trip to the LSV next week. - having said that, York have just scored a try and are back in the game at 10-6 to Fax!
