Sorry meant Tony didn't play in 90. Tony was a great prospect, looked lethargic but did it in the big games. Went well in Australia after this.

Correct, another 'urban myth', Iro scores and Drummond slides in slightly late, Iro throws the ball at Drummond who punches out at Iro catching him in the face, both are then separated by other players and no other punches are thrown, nobody is 'floored' or even hurt. |

That was a fairly typical Des Drummond incident, if I remember rightly.
He threw a punch to cover up the fact that he'd flunked a crucial tackle.
Not surprisingly, several Wire fans of my acquaintance thought that was the best moment of the game. I suggested to them it would have been a lot better if Dessy had actually made the tackle.
Anyway, a better moment in that game was Joe Lydon flooring Paul Bishop. That that REALLY was a flooring. |

Tony Iro was a permanent fixture in the Bees Knees throughout his stint here. As an earlier poster said, he always looked lethargic in a Karl Pryce way but delivered with tries time and again in big matches.
And I believe the correct commentary sequence runs: 'Kevin Iro? Tony Iro? 'ANLEY!'
