I've not seen anyone make any excuses for the loss on Friday apart from Wigan being the better team on the day.

After some concerns at the beginning of the season, I'm starting to believe that our squad is actually pretty good. I'm not sure about a couple of players, but it is large and, on the whole, there aren't many weak links.

The other thing is - this is hardly a star-studded team, but Waney seems to get them all playing at a very high level. Players who I once considered journeymen would now be my first picks every week. The whole team's response to the big game atmosphere yesterday was tremendous. I wouldn't back anyone in SL against us when we're in that mood.

If Wigan win its because the standard of SL is dropping.

The funny thing about this post is all my Wigan mates have been telling me saints only had a 100% record because the standard if super league this year has dropped massively.

I think fans just read into it as they want to see it. Last week you lot was predicting a hammering and stating how poor you lot are playing but now after the Good Friday game it's all changed and Wigan are the best again.
