Does anyone think that Atkins will be missed next season? Personally I think the guy has the potential to be class, but I'm not sure if he's totally suited to our style of play. He never seems to get the ball out wide, on the burst and does a lot of driving the ball in early in the tackle count.
If rumours of getting 100k+ are true, then I reckon it was good business, especially if Millard proves to be as good people are saying. I just hope some the money goes on team strengthening. Johnson and Thackray would bolster the pack.

I'm sure we will miss him, seemed like a decent fellow with no small amount of ability. We have however seen far more influential players leave BV and survived.
For my money Solomona is the best player I can remember seeing in a dreadanaught jersey - life went on after him - in fact I think him leaving strengthened us in a perverse way.
I have a feeling that we won't notice missing him but we will lament on seeing him perform in a Wire jumper that he could still have been ours.
Good luck to him - I think he did alright by and to Trin!

Ellis is the player we have missed most in recent years. Can't imagine that Atkins will be missed even half as much as Gaz. |
