Ok so I've been caught out and left it late to book in for a hotel at m.m. Tried all the usual suspects travelodge, holiday inn, ibis etc but 260ish for 3 folk for 2 nights. Anyone got any tips or spare bookings for 3 lads?

It's not too bad but the places aren't outstanding!!

Ps the price was per room and with 3 of us I need 2 rooms.

What were you expecting at that price? Probably works out cheaper than the 3 of you heading back to Wakey on the train and then over again the next day. I wouldn't grumble at that, as long as the rooms are clean.

£520 for 2 rooms for 2 nights (3 people in total = £173.33 each

Although the convience if going out to get rat-d helps some to justify this figure.

But
Return train tickets to manchester bout 20 a piece 2 days = £40 x 3 = £120
And a £50 taxi back from getting blottoed in Manchester to wakey aint too shabby either.

It's £260 for a room for 2 nights, however as there are 3 of them they therefore require 2 rooms for 2 nights. Therefore doubling the cost, if I haven't read it wrong?

Whatever the case, if the train fares are as cheap as you state, I'd take your option and go home for the night (though there is the danger I'd fall asleep on the train and wake up in Goole, or wherever the thing ends. I've got form).

Heap the above is correct. I may just break in somewhere and claim squatters rights!!
