It's my first time driving to their new ground. I hear that their paid car park is an absolute nightmare to leave post match.
Can anyone recommend free / cheap parking nearby which is easy to get to and from the ground? I think in previous years people talked about parking at an amateur rugby club, would anyone know the name of it please?

Thanks but it's not really practical. I don't live anywhere near Wakefield. I have to drive to every game from another county. I also have 3 others with me so it is more economical to drive. |

Salford & Eccles ARLFC. Come off motorway at J11. At bottom of slip road turn left then after 150 yds (ish) turn left again (there's usually a sign out on match days) then left again (another sign). It's about 15 mins walk from the ground but very easy to get away from. Charge is around £3. We've used it every time.
Last time some friends used the Salford club car park and they were still trying to get off it when I was back home having my tea.

Thanks Lyndsay, from looking I think their website is still url addressed as eccles rugby. Good to hear you've found it convenient. I've heard similar horror stories about the AJ Bell car park. You'd think the town council would have planned the traffic flow better. But then again what do we know, thanks to Wakefield Council we still don't have a new ground.

We parked on Salford's own car park last season it's enough to put you off for life. I spoke to 'Jack in the Box' on Friday night and he told me of several housing estates just off J11 so we're gonna try there and walk this time. Have to be back to present my Quiz on Sunday night, don't wanna be stuck for an hour like last year.
