Great to be back at Belle Vue today and hats off to MC for all his efforts in the off season. Just a few observations from today and would be interested to hear other fans thoughts.
I think the card season ticket is great and like the look of the away card visitors get this season.
Ticket office seemed to run well with no noticeable hiccups on its opening day. Seemed though that away fans looked baffled as to where to enter the ground as no signs up.
I did not get my card scanned today as I entered through cats bar, something they need to tighten up for our next home game.
Great to see the cats bar so packed but disappointed to see so few bar staff serving. A couple more would have ensured the queue would have been much shorter and more would have been buying as I for one couldn't face getting back in it after our first drink.
Only 1 member of staff serving hot drinks and food with a big queue again and she was having to do everything including breaking off to go refill the oven leaving the counter empty each time.
Speakers round the ground brilliant!! What an improvement!
Half time entertainment seems to be none existent and could really do with looking at. I always enjoyed the sumo suits and the battle of the mascots. I would quite like to see 10 mins of the kids playing rather than them doing the lap of the ground.
Overall great to be back and understand the club doesn't have the funding of many others but there seem to be a few missed opportunities for the club to get more money in the bank on home match days.

Same here just waved through. Pies with no folks also. First game of season yet same mistakes.

Our cards were scanned on entry last season. On entering via back of east stand today they didn't have scanners so just looked at cards. Speakers were brilliant. Stewards were better than previous seasons, efficient and friendly.

They need to mark the reserved seats and also put the block letter on the outside of the east stand. I have never so many people wandering about looking for the correct section only to find someone sat there because they were blissfully unaware it was reserved.

Agree with marking outside, but our seats did have stickers on them.

A guy in front of us in the North Stand smoked continually throughout the game. Two stewards within five yards did absolutely nothing.
Why continually announce on the loud speakers that Belle Vue is a no smoking stadium when your stewards/security will do nothing about people smoking?

The food/drink stands are terrible. Took a good 10mins queuing pre match for a Bovril. I know the facilities aren't there for big changes on this front but they could manage the turnover quicker. If it wasn't so cold I wouldn't have bothered at all today.

No issues for me, walked straight up to the ticket window about 2:20 and got served straight away. Could be a potential issue when the big boys come to town but so far so good. Well done Trinity.

Why is the one entrance for the East Stand at the opposite end to the disabled section? Means a long walk for those who come in from the Doncaster Road area. My wife - who was too ill to come today - would struggle to make it.

Can't agree on that one I'm afraid!
I was standing on the corner on the North Stand end of the ground (opposite corner to Donny Road)and the speaker system there was terrible could hardly hear the announcements!
