Any thoughts on the love affair that WMDC have with high rise ware housing in place of rugby stadiums, seems they have done it to Cas RL now in place of their proposed stadium, this is all getting bizarre now, even their local councillors are on the residents side ????I
Residents say that the building can be seen from space !
Their best chance is to hope its a market hall, then it will only last a few years !

It's reported on social media with photo's the construction of the warehouse & residents complaining ?

The site of this currently under-construction warehouse now has nothing to do with the current site and proposal for a new stadium for Castleford. This site belonged to Waystone and was earmarked for the new stadium under the previous deal Cas had, but not any longer.

Have there been any developments from our side of things after MC’s comments about discussions with the council? Understand you may not be able to say too much if it’s in confidence. Just wondering if there’s been any progress at all.

Interesting that Denise Jeffries appears to be present at the opening of New Cold and then stood with residents complaining about the warehouse in Cas unless its my eye sight of course!

Minor point, but is this now not a decision for Super League rather than the RFL given the recent changes to the governance of the top flight? Are Trinity still financially penalised for having a crap ground?

I'm guessing Sooner rather than later As the RFL Headquarters will be moving out of Yorkshire around 2020/2021 to The Ethiad Campus Manchester. And I'm sure the'll be a much less leaning in their outlook to RL of Everything North of JCT 22 of the M62.
