Sky Sports have been innovtaive in all its sporting developments over the past 20 years, but I can't see this one lasting.

After 30 minutes tonight, the new 'Margin Meter' predicted that Widnes would win by 12 points. Wakefield then run out winners by 18 points.

Classic. I hope someone hasn't spent their mortgage on developing it.



Most Rugby League games ebb and flow and mid game you'd normally have more chance on pinning the tail on a donkey, than you would devising some mathematic formula to forecast the final result.

I wouldn't be surprised if Wakefield's winning run lasts longer than the 'Margin Meter'!

Funniest thing is that it's constantly changing - Oh, look, with 5 minutes to go and wakefield winning by 8 it's predicting wakefield will win by 8. genius. Think I did something similar on my 48k spectrum

Would loved to have seen it during all those games a few years back were Saints ran c20 points in the last four minutes to over turn Warrington.



Think all clubs could point to a game or two a season were they are losing badly in the first half and run out winners in the second half - or vice versa.

It's a truly awful gimmick, quite embarrassing.
