its not just about getting the floating fans back, many who've renewed their passes have done so on a 'one last chance' basis. Getting in to that top8 is crucial. Playing the last couple of months of the season against Championship opposition in a practically empty KC would be a disaster for the club. |

Don't think its as bad as you make out, they will be super league clubs in the 8 as well, plus probably Bradford, London, then another 2, who'll be no push overs, Leigh, Featherstone, Halifax, I wouldn't of fancied our chances against Leigh last season, they will be no gimmys, and relegation games always make for good games, and excitement! All super league teams ending up in that part of the comp, have a serious risk of getting relegated IMO |

Put it this way. If we finish outside the 8 but win the trophy for coming top of the middle 8, I would be ashamed to collect it.
Less than 10 years ago we were winning the challenge cup and playing in a grand final. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be to see Gareth Ellis lift the championship trophy in front of 3000 at Batley? |
