Shame but none of us know the full story. Smith doing what he was brought in for. Always liked Griffin so sad to see him go. But we move on.

Sad way to end his time at Hull but the club moves on under TS. Shame as he looked decent as a second rower.

Most people wanted rid of him after the last 2 seasons. He allegedly caused problems on the training ground last year. He's had 4 or 5 good games come contract renewal time,cost us our place in the Challenge Cup through pure petulance. I think he's probably spat his dummy out after being told he won't be getting a new deal. Trust the process. It's exactly what we've all been crying out for.

The important thing is, who are we bringing in with immediate effect?

We're not making no top six with that back row we had out today.

Doubt we can bring in anyone now if we've paid him off in full.

Surely we are bringing in a new arrival, that's two first team players gone in Evans and Griffin, and I doubt we'll have paid them full pay to go

Does seem strange to pay him off rather than just let his contract run out unless either someone is coming in or we weren’t able to play Staveley due to restrictions on the live cap? Though you’d think Evans going snd not being replaced would take care of anything like that.

Posssibly so and perhaps Wakey have paid a fee for him, as they appear to have some new money coming into the club.

Might be some bad feeling or awkwardness if a contract offer was withdrawn. Griffin might feel that his integrity has been impugned by Hull and/or Hull might regret backing him if he didn’t come across as credible in the disciplinary hearing.
