I think over the last few seasons the shirt as not really resembled Widnes's true colours/look why dont you get a mainley white shirt with black on the outside like the late 80's

No idea why, perhaps this years new kit will be like that.

The red first appeared on the 1992 Shirt (Regal Trophy and Wembley). I think its been a bit too overused on the kits of recent years. Given the quality of Leigh's kit I just hope ours is stylish and simple. The way the kits are these days with about 40 million sponsors on the shirts it needs to be.

Just to provide some feedback on the shirt matey. I really like it. Feels slightly retro but looks really cool. Add the club badge / town crest and you have a quality shirt in the making.
